Led Zeppelin made history when they were honored with the coveted Kennedy Center Honors in December of 2012. The band, which formed in 1968, has been an iconic part of the music world for decades.
After more than 40 years, their hard work and dedication to their craft were finally rewarded. The Kennedy Center Honors are given each year to a select group of artists for their lifetime accomplishments.
The ceremony was held in the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones, and Jason Bonham, the son of the late John Bonham, accepted the honor.
