The lead singer of the heavy metal band, Twisted Sister, Dee Snider is the author of the autobiography, “Shut Up and Give Me The Mic”. He has been involved in many different business ventures and he has used his creativity to help him as an artist.
Dee Snider was born on April 27th, 1955 in Astoria Queens. He is best known as the lead singer of the heavy metal band Twisted Sister. He grew up wanting to be a comedian but found success later on as a musician. His father was Jewish and his mother was Catholic. He attended Cardozo High School in Bayside Queens with other future stars like David Brenner, Albert Brooks, and Chevy Chase.
In 1980 he met guitarist Eddie Ojeda who had just been kicked out of The Dickies
The Dickies were a punk rock band that played with a mixture of surf and rockabilly. They released their first album in 1980.
