Ostrogoth is a Belgian heavy metal band formed in 1980 in Ghent, Belgium. The band’s initial lineup consisted of Mario “Grizzly” Pauwels on vocals, Rudy “WhiteShark” Vercruysse and Marc “Vandamme” De Brauwer on guitars, Marnix “Bronco” Van de Kauter on bass, and Hans “Hazard” Vandekerckhove on drums.

In 1983, Ostrogoth released their debut album, “Full Moon’s Eyes,” which was well-received and helped establish the band as one of Belgium’s leading heavy metal acts. The band continued to release albums throughout the 1980s, including “Ecstasy and Danger” and “Feelings of Fury,” which helped cement their reputation as one of Europe’s most important heavy metal bands. Despite lineup changes and a hiatus in the 1990s, Ostrogoth continued to make music and released their seventh album, “Last Tribe Standing,” in 2015.

The band’s style has evolved, from traditional heavy metal to a more power metal sound.Ostrogoth has played with bands like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, and Metallica, and has toured extensively throughout Europe. The band’s current lineup consists of Mario “Grizzly” Pauwels on vocals, Rudy “WhiteShark” Vercruysse and Dario Frodo on guitars, Stripe on bass, and Tom Tee on drums.
