Draconian was formed in 1994 in Säffle, Sweden. In May 1994, drummer and vocalist Johan Ericson, bassist Martin Ericson and guitarist Andreas Hedlund recorded their first demo tape. They were joined by second guitarist Anders Teglund in July of the same year. This line-up recorded the band’s debut album “Beyond The Veil”.
In 1996 the band entered a small studio to record their second album “As Daylight Dies”. All members shared lead vocals duties on this release. They also had help from vocalist Henrik Palm to write lyrics for “Flesh and Bones” and “Dark Hallways”. This album was never released due to various reasons. First of all they had lost their guitarist Andreas Hedlund to an alcohol problem.
